100+ Teslas

PPF, colour change and branding

Three services, one workshop

Can you wrap a Tesla?

Yes. In the past couple of years we have wrapped or protected more than 100 Teslas. They come to us for one of three jobs: paint protection film over the factory paint, a full colour change, or signage and branding for a Tesla that works for a business.

Tesla paint is known to be thin, so protection is the most common request, and matte film is popular because it changes the look of the whole car. Below is what each job involves, a rough starting price and where to book. Pick the one you are after and it takes you to the detail.

Paint protection film

Protect your Tesla.

Tesla paint is known to be thin, and the front of the car meets every stone on the freeway. Paint protection film is a clear or matte self-healing film bonded over the paint, so stone chips, road grime and light scratches mark the film instead of the paint.

The Tesla PPF install

What comes off before the film goes on

On a Tesla we remove the mirrors, the window trims, the camera housings and the badges, fit the film to the bare panel underneath, then refit everything over the film. There are no cut-outs around the hardware and no edge beside a badge or a mirror for dirt to collect along.

The film is invisible on the car and the edges stay clean through years of washing.

Gloss or matte

Matte PPF is the popular choice on a Tesla

Gloss film keeps the factory finish and disappears on the car. Matte PPF changes the whole look of a Tesla and makes it stand out, and it is the film most Tesla owners ask us for. Both are the same self-healing film in the same coverage packages.

We fit a sample of each to your own car so you can decide with the film in front of you.

Three PPF packages for a Tesla

Rough starting prices for a Tesla. The film, the finish and the paint condition move the final figure, which we confirm with the car in front of us.

01

Full Front

From $2,850

Rough starting price · incl. GST

Front bumper, headlights, bonnet, front fenders, mirrors and A-pillars.

The panels that take most of the stone chips.

02

Highway Pack

From $3,850

Rough starting price · incl. GST

Everything in Full Front, plus the rocker panels under the doors and the splash guards in front of the rear wheels.

For a Tesla that does highway and country kilometres, where the front tyres throw stones at the lower sides.

03

Full Vehicle

From $6,050

Rough starting price · incl. GST

Every primary painted panel, plus the headlights.

For owners who want complete peace of mind.

Colour change wraps

Change a colour.

Tesla sells a short list of colours. A full colour change puts the car in the one you actually wanted, in gloss, satin or matte, and it comes off again when you sell or hand the car back, with the factory paint underneath still original.

Colour change wraps

Mid colour change, front bumper and lights off

What comes off for a colour change

The taillights, the front bumper and the rear bumper come off the car, along with a few more bits and pieces, so the film runs into the panel edges instead of stopping at them. When the car goes back together there is no edge to find and no line of factory colour showing beside a light or a bumper.

The new colour reads as paint, from every angle and with the doors closed.

Coloured PPF or cast vinyl

For Perth's sun we recommend coloured PPF first: the colour change and stone chip protection in one film. Premium cast vinyl is the alternative when a particular colour, finish or budget makes it the better fit. Either way we fit a sample to your own car and you can drive away with it for a few days before you commit.

You choose the colour on your car, in daylight, not from a swatch book.

Two ways to change the colour

Our recommendation

Coloured PPF colour change

From $6,490 incl. GST

The alternative

Cast vinyl colour change

From $6,490 incl. GST

Business branding

Tesla as a working vehicle.

Teslas are moving onto company fleets, novated leases and rideshare platforms, and a car that works for a business should carry its name. We design, print and install signage and wraps for Teslas, from contact details on the rear glass to a full printed wrap, and everything we fit comes off cleanly at the end of the lease.

Signage and logos

Contour-cut logo and lettering on the doors, rear glass and bumper. The light-touch option for a leased or novated Tesla.

Rough starting price · incl. GST From $500

Partial wrap

Printed branding across one third to three quarters of the vehicle, designed around the Tesla's panels and cameras.

Rough starting price · incl. GST From $2,250

Full wrap

A full printed wrap of the vehicle, typically excluding the roof. Design is quoted separately from the installation.

Rough starting price · incl. GST From $4,950

Fleets, leases and rideshare

A leased or novated Tesla can be branded because the film is removable; we recommend confirming with your lease provider in writing before the work is booked, and we remove the branding before handback.

For a fleet we prepare a documented proposal covering the design, the vehicles and an installation schedule that keeps the cars working, with the same installers on every vehicle so the fleet matches.

FAQ

Tesla wrap questions, answered.

Last reviewed 1 October 2026

How much does it cost to wrap a Tesla?

It depends on the job. Paint protection film on the full front of a Tesla starts from $2,850, a full colour change starts from $6,490, and signage and logos for a business start from $500. Those are rough starting figures. Once we confirm the car, the coverage and the condition, we can provide an accurate price.

Is Tesla paint really thin?

Yes, Tesla paint is known to be thin, and the front of the car takes stone chips early. That is why paint protection film over the front is the most common Tesla job in our workshop. The film takes the chips and the light scratches, and the paint underneath stays as it left the factory.

What do you remove to fit PPF on a Tesla?

The mirrors, the window trims, the camera housings and the badges. The film goes onto the bare panel underneath and the hardware goes back on over it, so there are no cut-outs and no edges beside the hardware for dirt to collect along.

What do you remove for a colour change?

The taillights, the front bumper and the rear bumper, along with a few more bits and pieces. With those off, the film runs into the panel edges rather than stopping at them, so there is no line of the old colour showing when the car goes back together.

Is matte PPF popular on Teslas?

Very. Matte paint protection film changes the look of the whole car and makes a Tesla stand out, and it protects the paint in the same way as the gloss film. Book a consultation and we will fit a matte sample and a gloss sample to your car so you can see both before deciding.

Does a wrap or PPF void my Tesla warranty?

Film and vinyl sit on top of the paint and come off again; they change nothing mechanical or electrical. A new-vehicle warranty covers manufacturing faults, and a claim is assessed on whether the work caused the fault, which is why professional installation and removal matter. Ask us before you book and we will walk you through how the panels and cameras are handled.

Will film or a wrap affect the cameras?

No. Nothing is fitted over a camera lens. For a PPF install the camera housings come off and go back on over the film, and on a colour change the film is cut around every lens, so the driver assistance systems see exactly what they did before.

Can I wrap or brand a leased Tesla?

Yes. Film is removable, which is what makes it the right option for a leased or novated car, and we remove it before handback. Check the modification terms of your lease first and confirm with your provider in writing; we are happy to describe the work for them.
