What Most People Ask Before Booking a PPF Wrap
How long does a full PPF wrap take?
Most full-body PPF installs take 3–4 days, depending on the vehicle model, cleanliness, and coverage level. However, we prefer to keep the vehicle for a full week to allow the film to dry thoroughly so we can properly seal all edges. You’ll receive a precise timeframe during quoting.
Can I choose between gloss and matte film?
Yes — we offer both finishes. Gloss is virtually invisible and matches factory paint, while matte gives a custom, stealth look. Both options offer the same level of protection, with self-healing and hydrophobic properties.
Will you need to remove any parts from my car?
It depends on your vehicle and the chosen package. Standard installs follow pre-cut templates with cutouts for badges and door handles. Our hybrid installs involve removing hardware like door handles, mirrors, window trims, and badges for a seamless finish. We’ll explain everything clearly before we begin.
Can you apply film over ceramic coating?
No — PPF must be applied before ceramic coating. If your vehicle already has a coating, we’ll assess whether it can be safely removed. This usually incurs a small additional cost for a light polish and chemical treatment to ensure proper adhesion.
What’s the warranty coverage?
Most high-end films we use come with a 10-year manufacturer warranty, and some offer extended coverage up to 12 years. This protects against yellowing, cracking, and peeling. We also provide a 12-month workmanship warranty on all installations.
Does the film yellow or peel over time?
Not when properly maintained. We use top-tier films that resist yellowing and peeling — even under WA’s harsh sun. Just wash your vehicle regularly and remove contaminants like bird droppings promptly to maintain the film’s performance and appearance.
How much does it cost?
We’ll provide a tailored, itemised quote based on your vehicle, coverage level, and chosen package. Full PPF wraps typically start from around $7,000.
Can I wash my car like normal after PPF?
Yes — but we recommend waiting approximately 2 weeks after installation to allow the gel and adhesive to fully cure. After that, you can wash normally. Avoid harsh chemicals and brush washes for best results.
Can PPF be removed after a few years? Will it damage the paint?
Yes — PPF can be safely removed without damaging factory paint. While it can be a DIY process using heat and patience, if your install included hardware removal or complex wraps, we recommend having us do the removal for best results and peace of mind.
What if a panel gets damaged — can you replace just that section?
Absolutely. Since PPF is applied panel by panel, we can easily replace only the damaged section. We also keep a record of the film and installation type on file to ensure a perfect match if needed.
